So pleased to see this 12 day vesicle growing in Jin-Go-lo-ba. As the last mare to ever be covered by Soft Falling rain we knew there were no second chances! well done team
We always say you can tell a special horse from the day its born and this colt has the x factor and he knows it! Born on Friday 24 August, the day before his full brother, Rip It Up, wins at Kenilworth from only 2 starts.Trained by Justin Snaith and owned by N Jonsson, he looks a decent sort! We need help naming this black beauty- Querari colt out of Miss Cuequita!
First foal of 2018
We are very excited to announce our first foal of the season out of maiden mare and home bred Jin-Go-Lo-Ba. This filly by Elusive Fort is a real eye catcher!
A big and exciting day awaits Narrow Creek Stud on saturday where we have 3 Gr 1 runners a Gr 2 runner and a Gr 3 runner. This beauty pictured - PINNACLE PEAK is current favorite heading up to the Grade 1 Mercury Sprint running alone side DUTCH PHILIP who was also born and raised on Narrow Creek Stud and was Cape champion 2 yr old. BEAT IT runs in the Grade 1 Thekwini stakes and ELUSIVE HEART is stepping up in distance and carded in the Grade 2 Kuda Golden Bracelet against some smart fillies, although she has a tough draw we are holding thumbs. Not forgetting
ARIANOS SHADOW who has only had 2 starts for 2 wins and is now running in the Grade 3 Gagasi FM Debutante. With some connections in the other races as well we will be calling them all home. Best of luck to all the owners and trainers involved!
Great weekends racing for Narrow Creek stud bred horses. Elusive heart in the group 2 daisy Fillies guineas against the likes of snow dance and Lady in Black ran a courageous 3rd and Pinnacle Peak in the group 1 computaform sprint running against a tough field including Trip to heaven and Sergeant Hardy. Pinnacle Peak ran a close second! Well done to the connections of both these horses outstanding results.
Proud to be associated with this incredible horse. Dutch Philip won the CTS $500 000 1200m race on Met day. Born, raised and consigned by Narrow Creek stud for Lourens Serfontein (Rex stud). Dutch Philip was the first foal out of Upity Ann who sold her What a winter filly at the Cape Premier yearling sale earlier this month for R550 000 and is in foal to Dynasty this year. What an exciting prospect!
Striking Querari filly out of Redeem My heart going to the national Yearling sales this year is a half sister to the talented ELUSIVE HEART running in the Listed Fairview Wines Sophomore sprint this weekend. With 3 wins from just 7 runs in some tough fields we are hoping for a brave run from her.
While her sister, Magical wonderland, is preparing for her big race MISS MAGICAL gave us her stunning Elusive Fort filly under the warm morning sun.
Abbys first (of many) foaling lessons as Icy Thunder couldn't hold on anymore so gave us a gorgeous Great Britain Filly in the morning.
Guess who my dad is?
Rocking The Dasies first foal by Querari knows just who her dad is! With dads trademark snip and beautiful black coat this filly is something special and oh so adorable
The very pregnant Upity Ann is under the spotlights waiting for the right moment to give us her Queari foal.... As the dam of Dutch Philip ( What A Winters first listed stakes winner) we are hoping for a successful and smooth season from her as she is lined up for Dynasty this year...
Whose That Girl rounded off a commendable effort in the Cape Winter Series for the fairer sex when she won the R150 000 Listed Winter Oaks in good style at Kenilworth on Saturday. Bred by Narrow Creek Stud, she has made us all proud!
Amazing stats for Narrow Creek having the first What A Winter winner, the first what a winter stakes placed horse and now the first what a winter stakes winner all being born, raised and consigned by Narrow Creek Stud. With these stats you can't but come and look at the 2 magnificent What A Winter colts on offer by Narrow Creek Stud at this years National Yearling Sales being LOT 388 and LOT 390
